Growing Radermachera Hainanensis
Radermachera hainanensis is a plant that’s suitable to grow indoor as it can be grown in the pot.
Follow these simple steps to grow your Radermachera hainanensis aka the Golden Jasmine Tree:
- Select a pot
The first step to take when planting a Radermachera hainanensis is to select an appropriate pot to plant it in.
The plant is best grown in a medium-sized pot (2x2x7” deep) to give it enough space to adapt.
Always remember that the plant’s growth is retarded in a compressed space, so, the wider, the better. However, don’t take too much unnecessary space.
- Prepare & add potting mix
Even though Radermachera hainanensis grows well in soil that doesn’t lack in humus, it is important to note that it can get killed if choked with wet, mucky soil.
The ideal potting mix should be easily drained – general potting mix easily found at stores can be just enough.
- Place the plant in the pot
Once you pour the potting mix into the pot, put your plant in it gently. It should be deep as such that its peristem is just at the surface level of the potting mix.
Ensure that the leaves are not being covered up by the potting mix and the overall plant stands elegantly.
- Water lightly
Once planted, you can finally water the plant lightly and evenly. Remember that Radermachera hainanensis doesn’t enjoy soaked soil, so avoid soaking the soil with excess water.
